Luan Goldie

Luan Goldie is a Glasgow born writer and teacher from East London.

Her debut, Nightingale Point, was longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction and the RSL Ondaatje Prize.

She is the winner of the Costa Short Story Award and her short stories have appeared in Stylist, HELLO! Magazine and the Sunday Express.

Her first novel for children, Skylar and the K-pop Headteacher, is out in 2024.

A former teacher, Goldie has over a decade’s worth of experience teaching in London schools. She also tutors for Arvon and Spread the Word and is a First Story Writer-in-Residence working with young people.
